Well it seems as if the pump for the meth may have dumped meth into the motor.
When I broke my IC piping down there was meth just layin in the piping all the way down to the IC itself !

I think either the controller bled voltage to the pump and it pumped at a slow rate or I think this may have been happening at an extreme level.

You should consider this for your kit Watch the vid!!!

That looks scary... Does methanol actually have a power advantage over high octane fuel? Or is it just a convenience and price thing?

Since we're on that topic now, Dan... I'm sure it's already an option, but...

I would never consider Meth as a replacement to race fuel! I looked at it as a supplement that could aid in producing more power potential , with a few different approaches to tuning.

It obviously exhibits some advantages , cooling benifits to the charge is probably its best attribute and can be obtained with even a 50/50 mix.
But it does enable you to reap the benifits of a cheaper form of octane improvement.

Obviously if you put race fuel into your tank you have no option but consume it , the meth is there when you need it only in boost , so yes it can save with that respect.

But I truly am having a hard time remembering when there was no less than 100octane in my tank

Downfall : it can break $hit , if something go's wrong it go's big

So Dan why don't you jump on that cosworth head and buschur built block that is off the hotlap motersports car? I had the link in a few post before this. Seems like a hell of a deal on a nice package. I bet it will save you a few g's

Just out of curiosity, how many of you guys are planning on going up to Detroit for the opening weekend of the auto show. Public viewing starts on the 19th...i'll be driving up on the 18th. Was thinking that if others were going we could have a little Evo cruise on the way up there. Lemme know if your planning on going .

Besides switching to 5W-30 motor oil, is there anything you can do to improve engine startability in the cold weather? My car doesn't like cold except when he's warm. I always kind of cringe when I have to start the car below 30 degrees at 5 am. Sometimes It takes an extra crank. Any suggestions? (A garage is not a good permanent option.)

And also thinking ahead a little bit... I have to get inspected within a few months. Emissions is easy, I will pass OBDII. However, I am told that state inspection requires a visual check of all exhaust components. There's really no way around it unless I find someone willing to bend the rules a little. PM me either a guy or a station if you know of any. haha I do own a cat, but I'm not going through the hassle of putting it on for an hour just to get a stupid sticker.

My suggestion is do what I did.......Met a mechanic at a bar one night drinking beers after work and asked him if he was willing to bend the rules. He told me if he didn't see a cel he would ignore the visual and he did.

I would just go to a couple garages and be straight with them like I did.......you would be amazed at what they are willing to do.
