Okay guys, one hell of a night. Finally got to wash my car. On the way out the door afterwards, it started raining. Two hours down the drain. On the way to dinner with my girlfriend got a 72.7 mph in a 25 zone. Yeah 25. Absolute BS. Next, the movie we wanted to see was sold out. Had to call it an early night tonight.

I need help with the ticket. To make a long story short, I admit I was probably going double the speed limit, but not 73. Trust me I know. It was by clock with the white lines. It was dark and raining. Fine is only 215 or something. I know I have to fight it, but if I don't, what do you guys think will happen? Will I lose my license for sure? If I do fight it, do I stand a chance of sympathy from the magistrate? What do you guys suggest and think the outcome will be?

I would fight it whats the worst that could happen. You'll probably get the fine reduced and/or points dropped.

Well here's what I found out. I fall under the excessive speeding 31mph and over ticket. that means if convicted it's an automatic 5 pts and departmental hearing. At the departmental hearing you can get one or both of the following. 15 day suspension and some kind of road test. I'm sorry, but I'm still gonna drive if I get suspended for 15 days. That's weak. Oh well, f it. I'm not slowing down anytime soon. I didn't buy my evo to drive posted speeds.

If I were you I'd call an attorney as they know how to work the system to your favor.
I've found that it's not that expensive either compared to the amout of heartache going at it alone can be.
