on a side note, does anyone have problems with their gearbox sticking? i was driving the other day, and noticed occasionally my gearbox would stick in a track. the car wasn't in gear, no grinding or and noise. if you picture the ferrari shift gates, it feels like one of the 'legs' on the metal plate would be longer coming out of first. here is an awful picture to maybe help clarify.
Hey, Congrats Colin and Dave! Saw the pics on facebook Colin, you looked like hell but at least the wife looks great !

I'm having the same issue that your describing. Its part of the reason why I was sucking at the flashlight drags. I could not shift into 3rd gear at high rpms - it only seems to occur at the high rpms for some reason . I keep hearing that the solution is stiffer shifter bushings and a solid front motor mount.

in my 5spd shifter bushings, a short shifter, and a weighted knob solved all my problems.

in my 6spd, bushings did the trick nicely (underhood and base)

and travis, don't get too excited. there aren't the kind of bushings that you like.

-edit-

and congratulations colin!

How much do you need? I can call up APR and get you something i'm sure.

Solid motor mounts...and get rid of the six speed. I shifted perfectly once I got the 5 speed in....and the motor mounts. Smoooooth as butter.

I personally liked the APR front tray cause you could unbolt it along with the bumper cover all in one piece with real fasteners. But its a damn heavy piece of carbon fiber and always worried me out on the highway doin some topender's hahaha
