Cool beans is a curious phrase that uses nonsense to bring humor into a joyful exclamation. It originated in American pop culture during the late 1960s. Slang of this time is known to center around illogical phrasings of words, and "cool beans" is among the most durable lengthy late 60's era terms. It is used when referring to something with a positive connotation, for example, "That party was cool beans." Much like other hip slang words "cool beans" has faded with times, but it can be heard occasionally by those who've tempted to bring it back.

Well guys, my time in the black IX coming to an end. I am putting it on the market.
I am looking to get around 27K for it; a little steep, but a good place to start. She's a 2006 IX,with 15K on the odo, stock, and the remainder of the factory warranty. Do you guys think that's fair??? anyone interested?? Offer's accepted, low-ballers will be fed to my dogs.

In all honesty, the market for IX's is hot. What's the book value? $25-$26? If the car is in awesome shape, no problems at all, no cosmetic defects, etc., then I think $27,000 is a fair asking price. I'm sure the dealer would try to sell it for $29,000. It's a low-mileage unmolested IX. Those are hard to come by. The only downside is that someone can land a new X for a little over that price. But the IX has it's market. It's all up to the buyer. Personally, if I had to have a IX and nothing else, then I'd be looking very hard for a car just like yours. Just be patient and see what happens.
