My New IX GG MR
I've finally returned to the dark side, which is where i belong. Ever since my GVR4 i've missed the short exhaust path and torque band that you just can't get with a suabru (within affordable means at least). I bought an 06 MR Grey.
So anyhow, i bought the car in California and drove it back. Left San Rafael at 6pm friday, returned this morning at 6am. 2.5 days.... not bad. Bought in Cali for price/financing/mods instead of buying in MA. Also driving back served the purpose of putting miles on the car. I got the car from the dealer with a ECUTEK flash, will be doing some tuning at KTR soon for the new EVO Flash for the IX's... Should be interesting with the MIVEC. 3250 miles total.
Here are some pics driving cross country;

Awesome car... I love the GG MR. So how did it work with buying in Cali? My only question is, Did you pay taxes in Cali and then pay them in MA? In another thread where a sales guys posted some really good deals he stated that you had to pay taxes in Cali and the state that you register it in, IF you pick it up. IF you have it shipped you don't have to pay taxes in Cali. just the state you register it in.
That's the way he explained it, but I thought you only paid taxes in the state you register it. There were a lot of others who wanted to know the answer to this so any info would be helpful to not only myself but others.
Thanks

I live in Ohio and I purchased my car in IL. I didn't pay IL taxes, and when I registered my car in OH, they made me pay taxes before i could get my plates, so that's where you pay. I had to show them my receipt.
