Is this quattro, or just FWD? If it is only FWD, regardless of the 150k on it, it would not be that bad to drop the tranny. Usually the only bolts you will brake are smaller ones, that hold on something stupid like brackets, turbos, or cam caps. Maybe it is just me, and I am overly-optimistic? I have helped worked on multiple friend's 1g DSM's ('90-'94), dropped a bunch of tranny's (mostly AWD), and they were not bad at all. PB Blaster FTW! But Tim may be on to something, with excessive crank-case pressure. And if it is overfilled by a quart, that will definitely cause increase pressures!

I really think we should do it.

Heck, I could sell Dex's exhaust and afford me a nice one...

But, after owning the Revo for 3 years, I'd have to say that the Jato is my joint... 0-60 in 4.2 seconds, topping out at over 65 MPH, RWD...

OMG, i had like a half-dozen...

I SRSLY think we should go for it... why bother working on a $30k car when we could do all that and more on a $500 car.... which would STILL be faster than an Evo...

BTW...they make skids for the Revo and Jato so you can drive them on SNOW!!!

pretty sure a S/C + 3.3 jato would give you a shot at patches . definitely in the 0-60...

Just add nitrous to the S/C and it would be a walk!

yeah exactly! 0-60 is a little misleading because i can do 0-60 in 4 seconds, but reaction time with a nitro car is negligable, which means my 4 seconds is really closer to 5 if you start the timer from the green light.

for all intents and purposes a nitro car would put an Evo length on me before i even started moving.

a nitro car should easily take even patches on the 60' I'm not sure what happens after that though? do these nitro cars even have the gearing to do 80mph+?

i have used seafoam a lot. i can't see it doing much harm. beat on the car a bit, let it idle, put in the seafoam and then let it sit for an hour or so. then go out and thrash the **** out of it until the white smoke stops. be sure to add it in very slowly, else you can hydrolock the motor.

good luck! it's worth a shot.
