Steve and i went and pulled off a bunch of parts. Turbo, intake mani, fuel system, radio, shift knob, other misc stuff. A good amount considering.

...do you still have access to the car? Pull motor/trans... Just wondering if he was going to just perhaps find a shell of another wrex and swap over all the goods to make it like what he had. Could be a cheap 2nd car and/or wicked fast awesome cool winter beater.

Motor was junk (timing belt came off while motor was running), tranny wasnt worth it. The car is ruined, i wouldnt get under it anyway as the the entire chassis was unbalanced. The only thing we could have gotten would have been the uppipe had we had access. Everything else was probably junk.

You are describing the normal characteristics of this mount. Shifting feels much better too, doesn't it
Once I get the idle to bump up, and I don't think I will even notice it. I have a high tolerance for rattles

As far as shifting...I have two all-season on stockers up front, and two advans on the new wheels in the rear, along with new springs needing an alignment...so basically I did not get on it at all yet

the frame damage was so extensive that the insurance company wouldn't sell it back anyway. if I could I would havetaken the motor but since it was trashed there was no point. turco and steve got anything ele of non-trivial value.

lunch one day sounds good.

why do you want a catback if you want something quiet? You can make plenty of power on the stocker.
