Dex, tactrix no longer sells the 1.x cables. Good thing they replaced it with a 2+x the price cable...

From everything I've seen about the X's paint chipping problem on certain types of roads they'll save you a whole lot of money

Im still considering some form of clearbra too... Do you guys think the mudflaps eliminate the need for clearbra? Guess the front still needs something, but i dunno about the back doors.

holy hell thats expensive. the Evoscan guy will probably pick up the slack - he sells his own version of the 1.x cables. (despite the stolen design)

I do like the 2.x device. Theoretically it should be able to log at a higher resolution then a laptop.

KG, I also have the 3M clear on my front bumper, and sideskirts as well, also had it on my stock rear bumper and hood. It is definitely a good investment, imo

yeah but i dont think we were ever limited by the laptop, i thought the protocol was too slow.

for large MUT requests - yes the protocol is definitely the bottleneck. But if you are only logging rpm, timing, knock - i think USB overhead is slowing things down. i dont know *shrugs* theoretically 12Mb/s is more then enough to keep up with the 100Kb/s MUT.
