not looking good for the car guys. i watched my oil pan be taken off today and had to pick my heart up off the ground afterward. Lots of metal. Big hunks of metal everywhere. Falling from the engine. Oh no.....

Steve made me an offer I almost couldn't refuse today, he is willing to pay off my car (not going to give numbers, PM me and I may tell you) and give me a deal on a X. I said no. It wasn't as easy as it should have been to say no though.

I want my car back. MY car.

Please excuse me whilst I go cry into a very strong drink.

not yet, wont know until tomorrow but the guy who is doing the inspection is a *****. up and down. saw me in uniform today (Army uniform) and KNOWS that it's my car since the owner told him that I'm in the Army and blew me off, acted like I wasnt standing right there.

I wanted to curb stomp the arrogent *****.

for the first time i want to go out to a bar, not because of this though, just because of everything, sorta, and i just dont want to be home. ugh.

The X is an incredible machine. Things could be worse. Just looking out for the bright side of things.

Why put yourself in more debt? Just buy a short block or empty block and build it. It is an expensive accident but it happens. Now you just have a reason to build it better. I honestly think you need to remember this is just a car. A $30k Mitsubishi at that.

Maybe you can call your insurance company if the Mitsubishi dealership warranty fails you. I've heard of similar incidents to the one you had being covered by insurance.

yeah but in the long run it will definitely be cheaper just to pay out of pocket and not put in a claim. Even a personal loan may be a better option.

..unless it's a no-fault incedent then there are no ramifications. Cheapest and easiest would be a junkyard long block.

I didn't think that was even a possibility?

i have money saved up guys. enough to cover all the repairs or whatever, but damnit how the hell do i do all that? I would have to have the car trailered to a shop somewhere without putting the motor back together.

do i trust dsg, they seemed like good guys, but i dunno if i want them to build my car, but then again I have heard good things about other cars that they have done big builds on.

its a pain, i have no idea what i want to do. this could not have come at a worse time.

really wish i had a rewind button right about now.
