I've been wondering where that steering wheel came from!
Thanks! It is now in my 1g Talon

Hey. I am a tech at westboro mits.
Feel free to come down and have pictures taken but I would not count on them getting replaced. Mitsu sent out many bulletins explicitly stating not to replace calipers for fading. The rep will never let it fly. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
But like I said, if you want to give it a shot, feel free.

Bill's were replaced because he knew the rep and he wanted to do Bill a favor.
Dave where did you get your calipers replaced and when?
I don't recall any evo's coming through the shop in the past 2 years that had them replaced under warranty, but it's possible that I was not there that day if did bring them to westboro.
I just dont want you to get your hopes up and then find out they they may not cover it.

Jojo, I want a spare set of new calipers, just to plan ahead. Make it happen.
PS I know an insider with the Berlin fire department, if you know what I mean...

Jojo i was seriously wondering where you got that steering wheel from. I saw your thread. The steering wheel was in great condition besides the tear that was starting.
I want everyone to know there was a lot of winning in the turco camp today. Walbro is in, paul r has a full turbo back exhaust and new spark plugs. Only took 3 hours for everything!

You guys did it...I'm trying to think of exactly how long ago it was...it was definitely between January and May. I think maybe Mark did it? I also gave them a can of superblue to do the flush/fill and they did that as well. I was pissed because I had clearcoat bubble/peel everywhere. Al was quite helpful and I even found the district rep to be reasonable...he suggested that rocks probably caused the damage and I pointed out that it would be silly to hang something off of a wheel hub and not expect it to be hit by rocks... he then OK'd the repair.
I always liked dealing with Al and Westboro.... my car is never there too often but it's always taken care of... Al even replaced one of my rear control arms under warranty- AFTER my spring install- because of a bad bushing.
Didn't you use to work at Herb Connolly? I remember a buddy telling me to only request you as a tech if I ever brought the car there...they ended up replacing my passenger seat which was a PITA because mitsu had locktite'd the bolts in place...i thought you were the one doing the repair at that time...
