Yesterday, some dude in a loaner TSX almost did the same this to me...flew out of the spot in reverse. I laid on the horn for a good ten seconds...he was like "sorry, it's a loaner"

I dunno if he meant "sorry, i don't give a **** about this car" or "sorry, i'm not used to the dimensions of this automobile, so I thought it would be perfectly acceptable to not look and hammer the throttle in reverse to leave my parking spot"

Either way, he's an asshat
yeah, she did not look at all, and she gunned it out of her spot. i had glanced to the right just before she blew out. i *might* have been able to avoid it if i hadnt glanced to the right, but i doubt it. i was directly behind her when she blew out of the spot.

its all easily replaceable stuff (altho stupid expensive). the door and hood have to be painted to blend correctly. i havent heard an ETA from al, but my guess is next friday at the latest. as far as i know he started work no it yesterday.

that car is just too small for that lady. there's not enough room in it for her to turn around to look.

anyway... why does the door and hood need to be painted? they weren't even touched.
i thought if the paint was matched well enough, you wouldn't need to blend.

im not really sure dex. the door and hood were not touched at all. the adjuster and al said they would need to be painted tho...

the one upside is that both the bumper and hood will be perfect now... no more rock chips... im def leanin towards the 3m clear bra.

wow dude that sucks. At least it is repairable. Of course maybe it would give you an excuse to invest in that NSX you always wanted.

Great bodyshops/painters would rather blend than just spray the component that needs paint. It is annoying, but then again mixing paint, especially metallics, can be tough to match 100%. like i mentioned before, I am having some paint work done, and they wanted the whole car. I am taking my chances with having them mix and spray the pieces individually. Blending allows the painter to flow the color better and not leave the newly painted area so obvious.

hey at least your hood will be fixed!

Phil didn't touch my bumper or hood, but he got the paint perfect so i can't complain.

come to think of it, it would have been nice to have the bumper and hood redone... but that would have been alot of work.
