So I tried to post this up in a separate thread, but no1 really answered me. What are you guys' thoughts/opinions/suggestions on a 235 tire on a 9.5" wide wheel? I can see how it would cause some concern since the stock setup is 245 on 8.5", but I didnt think it would be too much of an issue. 235s are rated up to 9.5", but its pushing it. I went to townfair tire just to see if they could beat tirerack's price, and the guy was pretty pushy about not putting a 235 on a 9.5". Kinda has me second guessing...

I would not advise 235's on a 9.5...too much tire stretch. Especially in these parts of the country.

what kind of tire are you trying to stretch? I hope not a snow tire!

In any case, I agree that a 235 on a 9.5inch rim is too much stretch for aything other than RT-615s

Dunlop Winter Sport 3Ds. I'm not necessarily Trying to stretch them. The wheel just only comes in 9.5

I saw a black X yesterday in Marlborough...looked like a young kid driving it. Anyone know this kid? I think I have seen the car parked on Maple street as well...
