Only looks good with the c/f lip me thinks
BTW I figured out my idle problem. When I bought the car it was tuned for an aftermarket aem intake pipe/filter kit and when I put the stock intake tube/box back on it made the car's idle go nuts and be very irratic.
SO I put JUST the AEM intake filter back on and left the stock intake tube and it idles 100% better.
I thought it was the intake tube that was suppose to cause the change in idle and not the filter?

What ya got on for a filter? I'm thinking bout leaving this one on until I have a new intake made. Just gotta tune for the aem first to get rid of the nasties in the idle.

True but I thought the pipe is what caused a crazy idle, didn't think the fitler would affect it too much.

My car was tuned with the stock intake pipe with AEM cone filter, and when I turned the boost up to 1.66 (23.6psi) it wouldn't hold. would only hold 1.56 (22.1 psi) so I changed the stock pipe out and put the AEM hard pipe in and all was solved. Holds nice ever since. Switching between the two did not effect my idle what so ever.

I know...I know...I do that from time to time...
On another note...car goes into "official storage" tonight after work...I realized last night...the whopping 15 miles (if that) I put on it today...will be the last time I drive the Evo as she sits currently...come spring...going to be a whole different ball game.

I am a tad confused, you say the stock pipe didn't hold 23psi? From what RPM range? I know mine holds 25 until i start to taper it? The stock pipe is really doesn't limit much on any stock framed turbo. Some hard pipes can screw up idle but in reality it is about how much it screws up the short term fuel trims which, as long as the injectors are setup right, can be fixed with MAF scaling.

No, it wouldn't hold more than that. It would hit that, then taper slowly. I would keep setting the EBC to go more boost, and the results were just holding at 23.x psi. So I chnaged out the pipe one night here at work, and since has held each desired setting on the boost controller. Both the boost gauge and the display on my profecB were accurate. And yes, it was weird to see the stock maf pipe do that. I never guessed it would have given me that issue. But I was expecting an idle issue after install. But so far so good
