yeah it is like the speed limiter that is set so high the map will never touch it. Dont forget the JDM cars use actual boost control so the ECU has a bunch of subroutines that are just not called. I know tephra deletes some code that is not used. I am sure someday the whole ECU will be cleaned up.

So, went and got the car inspected today. It failed. I am trying to scan the paper they gave me, but I'll sum it up here.
They plugged into my OBD II which I expected but apparently they couldn't get a reading from my ECU for the Catalyst Monitor, o2 Sensor Monitor and 02 Sensor Heater Monitor. I am assuming that is because they were turned off I beleive when my car was tuned in Washington.
So my question is this, would this be fixed by doing the Anti Fouler mod to the cat and if Turco were feeling kind enough to turn those functions back on in my ECU so I can get a passing sticker? Let me know what you guys think. I have 60 days but I don't like the big R on my windshield.
Surprisingly, the guy who inspected my car thought it had a stock exhaust (Buschur Bullet FTW), just that it was "A bit loud sounding."
The inspection was done at Hunt's Mobil on 20 in Marlboro, BTW.

ugh, i completely forgot that i have to get an inspection this month.
what a PITA.
you know, in NJ, inspection is FREE and for a new car youonly need to get it every 4 or 2 years. Once again, MA sucks.
