i knew this week wasn't over for the Evo. Some **** head just forced me off the side of the road in his minivan because he doesn't know how to keep his big honking piece of **** on HIS side of the double yellow.
I've got a nice vibration now comming from the right front, makes everything rattle and shake in the car (including the passanger seat) when I drive in a straight line. I'm assuming it's a wheel bearing.
****ing great. Everything comes in threes. I knew it. I should have just ****ing walked the 16 miles to work.

I have a small problem with the Evo and I was hoping someone here could help. Today when I was driving to the bank and every time I hit the brakes, the car would rev to 1500-2000 RPMS and then slowly come back down to normal idle RPM. I figured it must be because the car isnt at temperature yet but even once it got to the normal temp, it kept doing it. Anyone know what can cause that? I really dont wanna go to the dealership unless I absolutely have to. Also, no check engine light or brake light and my brake fluid is full in case anyone was wondering.

Sounds like your FIAV (fast idle air valve IIRC) is acting up for some reason. It is supposed to bump your idle up to like 1500-2000 during cold starts (and while driving, not under load) until it is warmed up, but not after. Could be a faulty coolant temp sensor. Maybe you can get someone to log this for you.

okay, just got back from townfair. my rim was pretty badly bent on the inside of the rim, towards the car. they took it off and even though they recomended I didn't have them hammer it out they did since I said I don't care, just try to make it good enough to last through this winter and throw it on the back of the car.
That's what they did. The vibration is gone but I'm pretty sure these rims are useless after this winter.

Alright, so I just let my car run till it got up to temp and now it just idles normal when I apply the brakes like it should. I guess ill just have to keep an eye out on it to see if it does it again.
