I just did those not too long ago...pads/rotors/ss lines. I ordered my rotors from 'MAPerformance', and I have an account with 'Russell' and ordered ss brake lines. I will also be installing a new set of specR's in the spring with a lil help from Turco. I've had my new struts/springs since late summer and have yet to install them lol

But, as far as 720p vs 1080p, first off, you need an HD box for even 720p. Second, I have a 36" (I think!) CRT 1080i, and it looks 10 times better in 1080i vs 480p. Granted there is not much difference in picture quality between 720p and 1080i. I agree that you should definitely not spend $900 on that small of a tv. But if you are going 37" or larger, I should think 1080p would make quite the difference...
I actually used the 40A550 for a few months as my computer monitor and it was a great tv.

You actually don't need an HD box to get HD in any newer TV as they all have built in QAM tuners that allow you to recieve the same HD channels a cable box would provide you with. The only difference is you wouldn't be able to use the on-demand features as well as the comcast/charter guide.

For anything 37" and under 1080p is really not neccesary unless you plan on using the unit as a computer monitor. 1080p allows you to run resolutions as high as 1920x1080 opposed to where 720p will only go as high as 1280x720. The higher the resolution, the more desktop area.

As for watching TV, I've owned a 32" Samsung 720p, 37" Westinghouse 1080p, 40" Samsung 40A550 & now I'm currently using a Sony 40" W series and when watching blu-ray movies or using the PS3 (1080p) there is no difference in detail and picture quality between the 32" 720p and the 37" 1080p.

The only reason I'm using the Sony 40" right now is the fact that it was 60% off new from Sony along with free shipping as an associate accommodation deal. Otherwise I'd stick with a 40" - 46" Samsung 600 series.

Good info man! And you go through a lot of TV's, huh? And I thought you could only receive the local channels in HD that are broadcasted, not all of them. I haven't tried it with my tv yet since I have an HD box...But I DVR a TON of HD programming, so I need a box either way.

Bill @ MAPerf is awesome. I have ordered from him several times. He consistently has the best prices and is super fast/responsive. I plan to order rotors from him when I decide what I want.

EDIT: Pretty much when I want a part, I just email him and ask him to ship it and charge my cc. I don't even bother looking up prices elsewhere

295 for Spec R's is really cheap. I think they list for 400.

Timz can you get me a quote on SS brake lines? I need some.
