Is your clutch already going out? Let me give you a piece of advice from my own learning experience (and people here can back me up since they have heard of my fun with my clutch), go for the exedy twin when you need a new clutch. I went single disc and only because I thought the "chatter" of a twin would drive me nuts. Come to find out it isn't that bad. And the single disc sucks.
As far as warrenty, if you need someone to do it, Marshall and I can highly recommend someone who is a Mitsu tech. He is the only person at a dealership I would EVER let touch my car. And if you think it'll void your mitsu warrenty it won't. He knew I had a clutch in my car and didn't care. It's a wear and tear iten and exedys can be rebuilt for less than half the price of the clutch itself.
worth the money, don't make my mistake, do it once and do it right (TWSS)

Greg is a trust worthy guy. If something were to go wrong he would probably at least fix it with no charge for the labor, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to do a clutch. He's done his fair share & then some. It's a car and a clutch is not a warrentied part.
If you don't mind my asking, how old are you? Your dad sounds similar to mine, he finally gave up trying to tell me what to do with cars when I ripped the N/A motor out of my RX-7 & dropped in a twin turbo from a FD The look on his face was priceless to say the least.

I just kept telling them the fact was I worked my **** off to buy them and it was my money. However everytime I have an issue with the lancer (even fan controllers or control arms etc) he blames it on the fact that I should have bought an automatic...

That's a very immature response - especially from someone who has three cars, two of which dont run and one on its way out. I would love to pull that excuse except if it wasn't for my parents there is no way i would be where i was today (coming from someone who has had a job since they were 12 and has had to pay for almost everything he owns). My parents made me work hard but i look back and thank them for it or i would not have what i have today.
