Dave, I found out that Hanscom has a shop that soldiers can use with lifts/tool/etc but I must admit having never done spring on a car I am a bit nervous to do it. If you want I would happily come to your house to do the install with someone more knowlageable than I. That was I can learn instead of being pissed. I will provied Pizza and beverages.

That sucks. I'll pull my ignition fuse or something smart like that. Hopefully this place has security IF I even go.

The spring install was a lot less complicated than I thought it would be. I dunno what I imagined in my head haha

I really don't have the bandwidth to do much lately. When I do have a free moment, it needs to go to cleaning up my yard, tiling my bathroom, doing balljoints on the Exploder and prepping the Evo for summer. If anything changes, I'll let you know. As for now, though, don't count on me...

Dont you need a special tool to compress the springs to install them? I want to order some springs but how much is the usual installation?

Also why does no one carry 22 gauge wire anywhere!

Need a spring compressor. Something like this:

Can prob get one at harbor freight for < $15

In other news, this is pretty good for the consumer. Govt backed car warranties:

You "need" a spring compressor. I say "need" because on the Evo 8/9, you can change the springs without one (if you are a man).

You can buy spring compressors at Harbor Freight for like $8 (literally). There probably isn't an easier mod to do on the Evo, IMO...grab a v-howto (machevo.com) and give it a try.

As for the 22ga wire: it's bell/alarm wire. Usually comes in 2-4 conductor configurations in the home improvement stores... i have like 300 feet for the 4-conductor stuff...how much do you need?
