paul,

what'd you end up going with for tires? what rotors/pads are you going to run? fyi, i am *really* *really* impressed with the rotorpros + hawk hps... they bite really f*cking hard and the hawks dust MUCH less than stock. the rotorpros also look really good with the slots + black hub... and the hps pads have tinted the rotors a dark metallic color - looks really cool imo

DBA 2 piece slotted fronts
DBA 1 piece slotted rears

See this is where I messed up with my Rotorpros. I didn't get the protective coating and now the centers are rusted and ugly. Is there something I can do to help prevent that? It pisses me off when I see it.

I remember asking the guy about what I should get, and if I should get the protective coating. Oh well I guess, right?

you can take them off and hit them with some high temp enamel or caliper paint. i did that once and they help up for a couple of winters before flaking.

you might need to blast them clean now, though.

alternatively, steel wire brush, high temp spray paint + painters tape.

Would I have to take the calipers off for this, I'm assuming so. Because if that's the case I'll just add that to the list of things to have the shop do when they have my car while I'm in FL. I just don't have time to do that if it takes more than a few hours in the next 2 weeks.

you dont have to, but it would make it less likely for you to overspray on to the evo. shouldnt be an issue with a bunch of cardboard tho...

id probably opt to take them off personally but lots of people spray calipers or rotors while they are on the car...

thats not a 4g63... look at the timing cover and how the intake is configure in respect to it... the 4g63 in the ct9a is the opposite of that. thats probably a 4b11...
