Yo Paul. Just wanted to throw this out there cuz I kinda felt like a complete idiot for a lil while yesterday.

I wasnt the one who did my last oil change. For some reason, I just remembered that Cornerstone Mitsu did my last one because I got it for free.

To fill you guys in, my filter was on so tight that I couldnt get it with my hands. Pauls man muscle had to get the job done. My drain plug was on so tight that even Pauls man muscle had a really hard time with it. The crush washer was super crushed. Messed up my plug a good deal, but the thread are still good.

So anyway, I dont feel so retadid now

Time for you to get a Fumoto valve and an oil filter wrench.

the filter wasn't on *that* tight... kenny is just a big va jay jay

the drain plug tho... omfg that **** was on there RETARDEDLY tight... you should prolly think about just picking up a new drain plug, or the fumoto valve like dave mentioned.

Fumoto FTW!
Only downfall about it is that the oil doesn't flow out as fast.. doubling my super quick oil change times. Otherwise its great, best mod I bought for my car besides the wiper fluid spray mods...

You sure you just didn't have trouble with the whole "lefty-loosey, righty-tighty" concept?

Just change your oil like a man- at operating temperature- and it flows fine!

No problem. I wasnt sure of your setup, but was offering it up to help you out. I wasnt sure if this was your DD and needed a turbo to keep getting around until you got what you needed. Good luck

Thanks man! I can't wait

But...he is bringing it down to me Sunday mid-morning. So depending on what time that actually is, I may not be able to go to the car show If it is late enough, I will just go and leave early or whatever.

I can't believe this weather. I look up the forecast for the day at 8:30am and it says its gonna rain so I decide not to go ahead and install my parts and what happens?! It doesn't rain! I was really looking forward to getting it all done this weekend but it doesn't look that way. Hopefully ETS will have sent me my couplers by next weekend.

Here she is:

You can really see the pearl in this picture

Previous owner (two owners ago) was an SBR fan boy

And the damage to the hood (he forgot to latch the hood)

Immediate plans are I need to replace the head gasket which I hope to get to this week, replace the hood with the same CF hood (but not paint it), change all the fluids (he actually gave me a bunch of tranny & diff fluids with the car ), get a decent pump gas tune on it, and go from there

The car runs right now, just pushes coolant on the timing belt side through the HG. Other than that, it is pretty tight as it is.

Here are the current mods:

Body:

2gb Eclipse Conversion
White with blue pearl, Black Roof
Carbon Fiber Vented Vis Hood
Ebay special projector head lights (I may swap with stock 2gb's, I have a spare set)

Motor:
Stock 6 Bolt motor
Ported head
Manley springs and retainers
ARP studs
OEM MLS Headgasket (needs replacing!)
FP2 Cams

Intake/Turbo/Exhaust:
FP Exhaust Manifold
Stainless O2 Housing
3" Custom Turbo-Back
BEP 50 Trim
Cyclone Manifold (not installed, 1g currently in it)
SBR FMIC
Greddy BOV
FP Intake Tube

Cooling:
Fluidyne Radiator
Setrab Remote Oil Cooler

Drivetrain:
ACT 2600
ACT Chromoly Flywheel

Brakes/Suspension/Wheels:
Powerslot Rotors
Stainless Brake Lines
Eibach Springs
KYB AGX Struts
16in Rota Slipstreams
Nitto 555r
Front and Rear Strut Bars

Fuel:
FIC 850's (I think, need to verify)
Aeromotive AFPR
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump

Electrical:
Yellow Top battery
GM 90amp Alternator (not installed, stock still in)
LC1 Wideband
DSMLink
Greddy EGT Gauge
Greddy Oil Pressure Gauge
Greddy Fuel Pressure Gauge
LC1 Digital A/F Gauge
VDO Boost Gauge
HKS turbo timer
Aftermarket alarm

Other:
Prothane Motor Mounts
B&M Short Shifter

I think that is about it. No real plans to upgrade any parts yet, as it has just about everything I would do anyways As it sits now, with a good tune, I would like to see high 300 WHP on pump and Maybe 450 on race gas.

Edit: I forgot I am getting a barely used set of MR coilovers for her

I never change my oil cold, its just a smaller hole so it just takes longer. That's all.
