Having an RS for a DD would absolutely suck. For that, SSL/SE all the way!! For a mostly track car, RS is perfect. I believe they had stronger diff's too, no?

Shouldn't. I believe the drivetrain is the same. I have heard that the JDM RS has a Ti compressor wheel that is prone to break apart at higher than stock boost

in 04, the RS was the only model with a front LSD.

that's the only drivetrain difference.

There was no 03 RS and all 05s got front LSDs.

I has a win:

The Lancer Evolution RS doesn't compromise performance, whether performance is defined as straight-ahead acceleration or exit speed out of an apex. Higher performance is achieved in part by lowering the vehicle's mass, but the RS is also better equipped to handle lateral motion, thanks to the addition of its front limited slip differential.

This helical limited slip differential (LSD) takes the place of the Lancer Evolution's open front differential, giving the RS mechanical front and rear differentials that split power delivery between their respective left and right wheels, and a center differential that splits the power between front and rear. The front differential's helical design provides it with smooth operation and superior responsiveness. Small in both size and weight, the helical unit does not require special oil or additional maintenance.

yea I'm thinking no on the RS. the more I think of it the more likely I'll go crazy without power windows...

I need the stock radio to swap out with the aftermarket one i installed on my evo... I find out today how much I'll be getting and the buy back. I have to fight for the payment to include the MR rims and suspension (more so for the rims). Apparently they're refunding my $750+ of sales tax since I didn't have the car for 7 days.

Saw this one for sale:

Not sure why the title went from rebuilt to nothing....

Unless it was Bugatti, or some other retarded car. But ya, 18k for an Evo with a salvage title, would never even consider it.

He even offered to ride with me through autoX's for training.. haha great guy, he's been really helpful explaining the history of his car and such. I swear he has photo documentation of every mod/change on that car...

O yea no way in hell would I buy a salvaged car, especially at that price. I'm just wondering how safe buying cars is when titles go from salvaged to rebuilt to nothing... wtf? Thankfully there's carfax
