For those interested, I finally started the tear down on my car this weekend. Timing belt is off, head is unbolted and ready to be lifted off (I have two bolts under the intake manifold that are a b*tch to get to!). Once the head is off, I need put in a new fuel filter and clean everything up (there is oil & coolant everywhere ). Then get the head back on, exhaust manifold, put on a Cyclone intake manifold on (from JDM Galant VR4's; it has 8 runners, 4 primaries & 4 secondaries opened by butterflies), t-case, rear diff & tranny fluids, and should hopefully be good to go. Then I need to spend some serious time tuning

nice marsh! Sorry i couldnt make it saturday
Those butterfly runners should def help with some low end torque. I am surprised they went away from that design, i wonder how they hold up in forced induction applications.

Well the cyclone was made to run on the VR4, which was turbo obviously. So in this case, they hold up fine. I know of guys running red sized turbos with them just fine. I think it will work great in my application (2.0 w/ a 50 trim). And no worries about the weekend. If you can come up some night this week, just let me know. There is still plenty to do!
