Dave nice jump on the rexpeed ducts from VegasPaul. I love those, and highly considered ordering them when I ordered my new lower lip. BUt I decided to look as clean and stock as possible. But awesome ducts *This may help you during install....I noticed the rivets that come with the ducts are a silver finished head. I have here hundreds of the same style rivets with a black plastic coating that will not stand out so much after install. I can get these to you for nothing, but if you stop by a Volvo Retailer part#979878 $0.30 each. I persoanlly do not like the silver finished exposed, seeing its a dark product. Looks unfinished. But its your car and your look. Just lettin you know.

turcos, I used bold just for you

the t and g represent the number of fins i think. there is also a 'c' iirc. i think c is the highest flowing, then t then g. something like that.
I could have sworn the last number was the hotside. Because the IX turbo ends with 10.5T and the VIII turbo ends with 9.8T. So I think that is the size of the hotside.

i've never heard it expressed like that before-

like mine is a td06H-20g 8cm^2 hotside.

then again, you evo people are odd, so maybe that's how they roll....

so back to my original question, does that really mean the evo X turbo has a 12cm^2 hotside?

Edit: I meant 12cm, mikie confused me. I confuse easily.

actually, here are some links:
http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1273
http://www.stealth316.com/2-turboguide.htm

it looks like the 12t might have originally been a volvo turbo. combined with the fact it looks pretty tiny according to some of the reviews (bagel-sized), i think that's the compressor wheel.

it doesn't say, but i doubt it.

14cm hotside would be like over 1.06 from garrett. that would be ginormous and laggy.

Tim: i agree with you! The silver looks too unfinished....I may hit you up for those black ones if you don't mind.

Thanks a lot!

Maybe mitsu designed the turbo for volvo and now they are using it. I doubt after all these years mitsu would outsource turbo design.
