the other thing you have to remember is that for 99% of people, a car like the evo is not going to be limited by any OEM parts. it's going to be limited by the driver. you are far better off investing in becoming a better driver than you are upgrading parts to make the car faster. to some degree it's a disservice because you are just enabling yourself to be a mediocre driver and making up for it with power/suspension. it's like putting a bandaid on a hatchet wound

i would venture to say that only a very small percentage of people can actually controllably push a stock evo to the limit. not to say it's not fun to mod and improve, but sometimes you have to look at things a different way to put them in perspective. there's no point in upgrading something if you really can't tell the difference.

I soooo 2nd this statement. Yes, I am guilty of modding and having fun doing it. But, I truely know I can not push this car to its fullest. I will achieve the driving skill over the upcoming driving events the chica and I plan on doing. Even if it takes a few years, at least I know that after the first session, a completely new respect for the car will be handed to me. I am ready for it. Cars can do so much more than most think.

if you could crush my skull to the point of making my eyeballs pop out of their sockets using your things, then yes- it would account for a lot.
