yeah man just fight it and let them know you were going with the flow of traffic. I am sure they will reduce it or slap you on the wrist. At least it wasnt in the evo, they would have bagged you for everything on the car.

i just got my downpipe installed It fits soo nice. It is amazing to think that it is .5" bigger then the stock one because it carries the same clearances.

All the wiring for the Uego is ran i just need to solder everything up and mount the gauge after dinner. I cant believe how much crap i got done today.

So the gauge is done, downpipe is done. The gauge pod didnt stick to the column so i am going to have to get the autometer one that screws into the column.

Hopefully tomorrow i can get an oil change done and my oil pressure gauge working.

for the dp or wideband?
both were pretty easy. The downpipe was very easy. Since i did the o2 housing i kinda knew what i was getting into. You remove the two cross bars, hanger bolts, o2 housing bolts and cat bolts. Cat bolts were my only issue. One came out really easy with help of my buddy the impact gun. The second one required a little MAP gas persuasion. My buddy greg was nice enough to bring the welder to me so we welded in the o2 housing after i mocked it up. The bung did require the purchase of a $35 unibit though that i would be glad to lend out to the people who need it for a hug and *** grab.

Out of all the stuff you have to install, the downpipe should be the least of your worries. Gauges and intercooler are probably going to be the biggest PITA. My joy of wiring was killed last night. It did come out really nice though.
