I am not arguing your side. It just seemed harsh to fully eliminate a great car from this one event. Especially a wear item. Not hatin on you...
As for mine failing at 38k.... ...I had zero options Paul. And I was disappointed. But this needed fixing to even get the car mobile again. I was very angry with Mitsu for not helping out. Only my wholesale acount that I have setup allowed me to save 25% off the clutch parts. But like I said, the clutch failed and they would not warranty it. But being a wear item part, I had little ground to stand on. Mitsu uses every excuse against Evolution owners.
As for this issue with your Moms car...a second oppinion would be worth looking into. The $1500 for the job seems pretty fair given the job at hand + its a BMW. Not cheap parts by any means. That is if it needs a clutch at all.

What's up guys. Wow, looks like I wasn't the only one working on the Evo over the weekend!
Got her an alignment to fit my new summer wheels.

I can't see the pics at work but I got the free preview over the weekend. I'm really diggin' the combo, man. I know you tortured yourself a lot over choosing the right setup for the Evo and I think you've hit a homerun!
Look forward to seeing it soon!
Your Evo's not "Bone Stock" anymore. Now it's "gangsta"

Sounds good, Marshall. I'm going to go home, remove the belt, and set everythign back to TDC. I'll try to just reinstall the belt again and do some engine-off testing....
Hopefully, I'll just need to borrow you for the compression check.

i think i see the problem. hondas have no torque and thus do not ever wear out clutches. i'm hoping to get about 10k out of the one on my subaru.....

damn
In addition, AMD announced plans to adjust its cost structure by reducing its workforce by approximately 10 percent by the end of the third quarter of 2008.
but seriously mikie's car SCREAMS 10K outta that clutch will be almost impossible. ive never driven a car that pulls that hard @ 8500rpm. you get my stamp of approval (and probably from all the houses around mine)
