Yeah, that initially confused me but I have seen both. You should be OK fitting a parallel into a taper...I have some high temp thread sealant (not thread lock) that you can use if you want. I may also have the BSPP tap if you want to retap it...

Sorry you grabbed the wrong one, man...wish I coulda been more help

What color was the GT3? A guy I work with was driving a yellow one with Rhode Island plates around this weekend (he co-drives it from some racing series)...I'll ask if he was messing with a blue evo.

the GT3 was blue...it was some young kid driving it with a friend sitting shotty.

No worries Dave - used a caliper to figure out where the right thickness was on the tap. It seems to have threaded fine. Perhaps it won't be a bad idea to get that thread sealant...

You really should be fine with 3 or 4 threads in.

The tapered tap is supposed to self-seal... I have a new tube of the sealant I can send your way with PaulS or bring to a dinner meet....

you are good- if you put a parallel fitting in a tapered hole. that will be extra tight now

the reverse may not have worked so well....

HIGH FIVE.

when are you tuning that biotch now?

Yup, I think there's 3 threads in there with thread lock.

That sounds like a good idea. I'll keep my eyes open for the next dinner meet.

Wow, RockBand continues to disappoint with lame-*** DLC.

This week it's two "The Mother Hips" songs and Zero, by the Smashing Pumpkins.

*sigh* Are they trying to make me ditch the game?
