i'm back.

speaking of massaging, i just got back from the massage therapist. that's THER-A-PIST not THE-RAPIST.

we can do some grinding- the garage and basement need to be cleaned up a bit first. there's no where to work right now, but if you want to give me a hand, we can do that this week.

luckily, it's going to be raining from now until sat so there's not a lot else to do.

tonight is good.

tomorrow is tough- jon is coming by and we are doing some ht audio comparisons. i still haven't returned either of the demo units i have....LOL

let's get the basement in order tonight. i'd rather wait to do the garage until it's nice out so i can pull everything out of the garage and rearrange it.

They come with this factory flaw, this flat motor issue. You will want to look out for that.

i've ported a bunch of stuff. i also have a subaru motor that makes power at 8500 RPM. if you've ever seen subaru heads, you'd appreciate that

it's not hard per se, you have to think about what you want to accomplish before you do anything though- maximize velocity, even out flow across ports, etc and then sculpt the metal to accomplish that. even the finishes you put on the walls will change flow characteristics.

look for one that is unmolested. common things i would worry about are bolt on parts (intake, exhaust) without any sort of tune. look to see if the stock airbox was removed. look at the bolt heads and see if they've been messed with.

a compression test is the best gauge of how the motor is doing. the transmissions are fairly bullet proof, but you can destroy a clutch rather easily.

depending on time/place, i might be able to go look/take it for a spin.

yeah i'll let you know if he finds anything hes interested in locally. he really wants white tho which is hard to find...

i think hes set on an 04/05, but what was the big benefit of the 06/07's? they have much better/stronger motors right? do they have some additional variable cam timing system?
