Decent. Here's the cons, IMO:
The door sills are tight for running high-gauge wire through.
If you ever plan to drag race it, you'll need an external shut-off switch.
You'll lose trunk space (duh)
And the pros:
Better IC pipe routing configurations
Much cleaner engine bay
Less weight over the front axle (I think this is negligible)
I am not sure it's worth the effort, especially since I don't think you plan on making your Evo a show-car... I think it's kind of a low return on your investment.
Of course, I aknowledge that if you're posting about it, you probably are already planning on doing it...

Dave to your very true points:
- Id rather have more engine bay space then trunk space, as long as i can keep the wide section behind the rear wheel wells in the trunk i would be fine with putting a battery near the sub
- You really only need to run 4gauge but i havent done wiring in the door sills but i assume 2-4 gauge will fit.
- i would say removing 70lbs from the drivers side front axle would be more than negligible, i am a fat *** remember?
Other pros:
- I already own all the stuff from when i was going to do in the sentra. I do need a battery box.
- Like dave said, i could run almost 2ft shorter IC piping.
looks like dave already covered the pro's and cons.
Personally - it doesn't do enough for performance for me, to justify relocating it. Too much effort, doesn't take that much weight off the front of the vehicle, and i would never run an external switch for the drag strip. I would rather run a mini battery, if i ever change out the uicp.

Like dave said i think the external kill switch is only for drag racing and only NHRA tracks. Road racing i believe is up to the sanctioning body but I never see miatas get hassled even though it is OEM.

What are you new? i am not removing it i am relocating it. Having 70lbs on the opposite axle as ME will/can help balance the car. AND I am running about 5lbs of wire from the engine back back to the drunk dispersed over the length of the car.
