right, I never worried about that though, spool is for impatient people. I like the wait. Its like foreplay

with most bolt ons. I know dex wants to keep the stock look which may make it tough to do that.

There is actually a decent amount of room for adjustment (preload) on the stock actuator, from what i noticed on my car.

ya, you will see some more taper with that stock apperance. Dan's car used to taper from 30 to 18 or 19 I believe with stock intake, catback, turbo, header etc.

Car still ran 11.4 at 118 though

Most guys i have seen taper to 19-20 by redline and some by 7k. I think 21-22 can be done but it will take some mods.

right, stock catback and whatnot will hinder it a bit,
like I said I was spiking 32ish and going to 23psi, but that was full bolt ons makes a ton of torque with that kind of setup

boost is a measure of restriction. the more efficient the motor (bigger cams, etc), the lower the amount of boost you'll see at redline since the turbo won't be able to keep up anymore. same thing with raising the compression- you won't see as much boost anymore.

as an aside, you can get a dual port actuator if you want better response. you hook up a 3 port solenoid and one port will force the gate shut and the other will force it open. that allows for better spool and boost control. i've never tried one since the arm on the subaru turbos isn't a sandard shape.
