I CAN PLEASE HAS?

I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed.

I'll be picking up the new exhaust header for the nitro truck tomorrow... wanna do a test n' tune with me sometime this week? I wanna get this thing running right up to 65mph.

I found out the the repeated header breakage was my fault and now I won't let it happen again. I also got tuning guides for the engine on 33% nitro as well as some suspension set up stuff....

There are 3 requirements for mounting the header:
  1. Ensure a 1/4" to 3/8" gap between header and muffler - FAIL! - I spend time ensuring that they touched, basically.
  2. Tighten the clamps (zip ties) for the silicone coupler only enough to ensure that the header and muffler don't slip out. Leave "wiggle room" - FAIL! - I cranked that isht down with pliers.
  3. Be sure to use the exhaust hanger with the hanger mounting bolt torqued down. - FAIL! - After breaking the last header pipe, I decided to experiment with a "soft mount" (zip tie) for the muffler.
These steps apparently prevent the muffler from jarring/cracking the header during an accident. WHOOPS!

I'll give it one more try...after that, I am switching to side pipes, stacks, or dual exhaust...I'm sick of dropping $20s on header pipes.

I also may want to pick up a new body for the truck and paint it something hot... we'll see. I do plan on modifying the current body so that I can reach all of the tuning adjustment points with the body on.

Maybe we can spend some time Saturday tuning her up... plus, I know you wanna give it a drive! Then we can take it off some sweeeeeet jumps.
