If you like autoX u will love track days. You get to drive your care longer than 8min that most autox runs add up to per day, plus you don't have to work with 100 cars attending the autoX and half of them are 1st timers. I hate working cones on a 40s course while watching another 1:30min run. I love autoX but working, waiting, max 8 50s runs , and all for $40 and a whole waisted day. I could finish my runs in under 8 min and be on my way lol.
And Englishtown, are mostly 30-40s runs, but still 8 or less.

track days are awesome, I've only done a couple. I'd much rather go around a road course then drive around some cones in a parking lot but the cost per day and time involved is much greater then doing an auto-x on a weekend.

Well you pay $40 for max 8min of driving @ autox and you are there at least to 4pm. track days are little more expensive but you can do 100 miles on the track if you want. I always go through the entire tank of gas.

$40 is the maximum what you would pay for an autox. usually its cheaper and you don't have to say there a full day, just half the day to run your heat and work. A track day is going to cost you between $300-400 or more depending on how serious you are and where you race. I've gone thru almost a half a tank of gas in a 30min session and I like to spike my tank with some 104 unleaded for safety so it can get expensive.

Believe me I would much rather be on a road course instead of doing an autox but it isn't always as financially practical especially if you like to go atleast once a week. I guess i don't mind autox because I used to drag race alot and I'm use to short burts and long waits inbetween
