I just got my nice VIII wing back today from getting all new clear. Cost to re-clear $67. Looks better than new...Priceless

Go with an VIII wing. The more CF I think looks better. The IX wings are nice having it been painted on the insides, and I almost went that way. But I'm to staying true to my VIII.

the VIII and IX wing are the same correct? the only difference being that the sides on the IX are painted? what are the sides made out of? the outer piece is plastic and the inner piece is carbon fiber right?

The VIII wing is thicker and all carbon and the XI wing is thinner and the sides are plastic instead of carbon. Too bad VIII's still got the shaft with turbo, ACD and MIVEC. Its ok Dave and Greg, i still love you.

The VIII wing is a much better quality wing component wise. Design is the same. I think Mitsu had a hard time getting there orders met in time for build of your IX when in production. Plastic is easy to form and mold. CF takes more time and finess. So for production costs reasons, and availabilty as a spare part, it made more sense for Mitsu to change the design. Bummer too. Wish the IX's had the same wing. I like.

Its all part of the never ending "Evolution" which is fine by me. Thats okay, I love my VIII. Oh, and you'll be getting the same response towards you when some of us may one day roll up next to you in a X

is the inner side of the IX wing carbon fiber? it sounds different when i knock on it than the outter piece which sounds very much like plastic.

so i was dead set on removing the wing, and going with a rexpeed lip spoiler + jdm rear like this

but after following paul on rt 9 tonight - i have a new appreciation for GG and the wing... the wing is pretty B. A.

The 8 wing is all cf. Even under the painted parts.

The 9 wing, took it down a notch, big time. The only cf on those wings are literally the piece that you actually see. All the rest is just plastic.

And from what I have seen, and someone mentioned earlier, the 9 one does seem more flimsy than the 8 one.

1st Draft Samples are up:

You can see that we'll have the picture and an inset text box with some stats on the top page.

On the bottom, we'll have an owner's quote, the calendar with dates of interest, and a final tagline for whatever the owner wants...address to a website or whatever.

I am working on some small pictures for the calendar side as well, but here's the first cut. Let me know what you think!
