Hardwiring help in lower NY

Was wondering if anyone around lower NY could lend a hand in hardwiring some stuff.. I've never done it before and I'd like to wire in my radar detector and a phone charger.. The laptop takes up the cig outlet

It shouldn't be really hard to do it. You just have to find the power source to hard wire it.

Is it a V1 detector? If so there is a very good write up on how to do it on this forum. I used it to hardwire my V1 with ease. As far as a extra outlet I don't know but you can but a cig lighter adapter that plugs in and has two adapters. I used that with my V1 and my cell phone charger until I had the time to hardwire it. Hope this helps.

No, it's a cheap no name.. LOL I don't drive like a maniac so it's fine for me. I just picked up a basic hardwire kit from Circuit City. I'll just bring it to a place to get it all done

I don't want everything to share the cigarette power source.. since I want that primarily for the laptop
