or if you want the cliff notes, blew a hole in my short block, well I didn't something did. Car has a totally stock motor and 17k miles. Never had a problem before. Crusing down Rt 2 at 55-60mph and Ka-Boom.

Still sorting out problems left over from previous owners. This time, I have to rebuilt the steering shaft. Never weld steering shaft U-joints to the shaft!
It's confirmed, I'm heading up in the EVO. It's all stock now but feels pretty good. I want to work on the tune a little more and see what it will do on pump gas. Anything in the 12s will meet my expectations, but I never did figure out how to launch well on the stock ECU. If it blows up it's Marshalls fault.

What tires are you running? I know the temps were cold...but 2.3/2.4 60' are FWD territory!! Not bad for the first time out. Work on that launch some more. You have the right idea just going when you are ready and not when the tree turns green.

They're some crappy no name brand tires that came on the car when I bought it. I didnt lower the tire pressure either so they were all around 32-34 PSI. Im gonna be swapping them out in a month or two for some all seasons or just keep them over the winter and get some better summer tires next year.
