Still sorting out problems left over from previous owners. This time, I have to rebuilt the steering shaft. Never weld steering shaft U-joints to the shaft!

It's confirmed, I'm heading up in the EVO. It's all stock now but feels pretty good. I want to work on the tune a little more and see what it will do on pump gas. Anything in the 12s will meet my expectations, but I never did figure out how to launch well on the stock ECU. If it blows up it's Marshalls fault.

Nice!

I still can't launch on the stock ECU for the life of me. It seems like it just falls on its face right after the 2 step disengages. Time to sell it and get crackin on the MightyMax.

My RT's are horrible but I wasnt worried about it. I hit 2 step too late everytime and I was waiting for it to build boost but here's my runs. My 1st run I short shifted 1st at around 5k and I spun 1st every run.

Run 1:

R/T: 1.837
60': 2.347
330: 6.173
1/8: 9.338
MPH: 76.98
1000: 12.060
1/4: 14.338
MPH: 99.12

Run 2:

R/T: 1.246
60': 2.375
330: 6.117
1/8: 9.222
MPH: 78.45
1000: 11.907
1/4: 14.148
MPH: 103.10

Run 3:

R/T: 2.165
60': 2.209
330: 5.982
1/8: 9.143
MPH: 77.54
1000:11.895
1/4: 14.186
MPH: 98.66

What tires are you running? I know the temps were cold...but 2.3/2.4 60' are FWD territory!! Not bad for the first time out. Work on that launch some more. You have the right idea just going when you are ready and not when the tree turns green.

They're some crappy no name brand tires that came on the car when I bought it. I didnt lower the tire pressure either so they were all around 32-34 PSI. Im gonna be swapping them out in a month or two for some all seasons or just keep them over the winter and get some better summer tires next year.

MPH was way down on two of the runs. The 104 is where you should be at. Are you letting off too early at the end of the track? Or just short shifting gears, or missing a couple?

I was probably short shifting gears because I never let go of the gas until that red light comes on at the end of the track and I didnt miss any gears.
