yea, it makes a bit of a difference. I run with a 1/4 tank of fuel (ive gotten about 6 passes before the light comes on) and nothing in my trunk. Saves a bunch of weight.

Damn you got me on that one but there can only be 1 14.1 specialist. Next time we go to the track I better be in the 13's or im selling the Evo and never buying a car like it again. A car like this needs a good driver lol. My car still smells like burning clutch or burning something lol. Its definatly not as bad as before but you can still smell it just a little bit and its only around the car, not under the hood and that damn rattling pulley/belt squeeking is pissing me off now that I drive with my windows down. It only happens when I take off around 1500-2000 RPMS.

Hmm, were gonna have to work on that launch. I had 25+ launches on my stock clutch without stink. Once you get it right it's easily repeatable. And a blast to boot!

What's this sweaky belt you speak of Josh?

It happened before I went to the track. I realized at very low rpms (from around 1k-2k only) that a rattling noise would come from the timing belt side of the motor but now its more like a squeeking noise. Im gonna try using a belt dressing tomorrow to see if it stops it, if not I may bring it to a dealership if it gets worse or just stays the same. I definatly burned some clutch at the track because one of my mistakes was simply not letting go of the clutch when it was almost fully disengaged. I would keep a little pressure and then let go of the clutch but im not sure why lol. Probably just so nervous I realized what I was doing afterwards.

It was effin cold, but I didn't get much tire spin on the Dunlop Direzzas. I'm much more used to snow tires, which stick in any weather, but these did alright. The first launch was a little sideways, but wasn't bad. I was bogging instead of spinning. Best 60 was a 1.80, which is the best I can do on the stock ECU. With DSMlink and AEM the car ran 1.62-1.64 like clockwork, even in colder weather.

I don't know how those fast cars were running that night, I feel like I'd be dead if I tried to run the RWD at those temps. Then again the V8s have a nice flat torque curve instead of my honda-like vertical line at 7k rpm where it picks up 400 whp all at once. Who knows.

I notice the exact same thing with the RWD. Once the sun goes down, it gets risky. I spun on the first run but not too bad, just a little sideways for a few feet. All of my subsequent runs bogged, mostly because I can't launch on this setup. Oh well, car is for sale now.

lol, yea to avoid bogging i have my 2 step set at 5500 and i have never bogged with it at that rpm as apposed to 5000 when i bogged almost every time. it works well when the track is well but that is about it. i couldn't manage better than a 2.0 60' in the past few weeks with the sun down.

And which car is for sale, the RWD? how about 5000$ cash
