Me thinks you just need some coaching Josh, I will be more than happy to offer ANY help I can at the track. I even have a helmet I can bring. It took me a bit to get use to my car launching and being confident enough in myself AND the car to take it going down the track.

Man, once you hit the launch right the first time, slipping the clutch just enough but not to much and you come ROCKETING out of the hole banging gears down the track, the rush is like no other I tell ya! We can get you there!

practice is the only way you get better times. took me about 3 times before i ran times that agreed with my car's power level, and i started running the same times you did.

Ditto - even if you lose against the other lane, If you're doing it right, its still a _huge_ rush.

Dont you live in Billerica? I forget where you said you lived when you were at the car detailing clinic but IIRC you live basically right up the street from me. If you go on Friday we should meet up some place and head up to NED along with anyone else thats going.

What time are you leaving on Saturday? I might go up both days and try to get some more practice launching on Friday. You can go up with me if you wanna go to the track on Friday.

Yea im down for any help or tips. My tires could also be a problem like you said before. Ill be replacing them next spring hopefully as well as some bolt ons and a tune and this time i'll remember to take my work tools and any extra weight I had in my car last time out lol. Gotta go on a diet lol. 3520lbs is just too much.

Atleast im not the only one. I felt horrible after my buddy ran a 13.9 in his STi (im pretty sure he cant drive though and it pretty much has all the basic bolt ons) and my best time was a 14.1. I never heard the end of that one.

exactly., practice makes it much better for your times and your clutch.
once you pull your first low 60ft its a blast.
for me, I can tell right off the line what kind of 60ft I pulled based on how far or fast the sun roof shade goes back. half way is usually a mid 1.7, all the way back is a 1.6 or better.

I likely can't get out of work early, so I will have to meet you guys up there. I also have to stop on the way to pick up a laptop at my buddies...
