Had a little spiff with a Supra TT (late model 93+)

I was driving throw Caldwell NJ on my why home from the bank. At a stop light a red Supra with a for sale sign pulled up to me. The guy looked be around my age 25 maybe a bit younger. The car was a stick and when the light turned green he hit the gas and did a light spinning of the wheels to take off. Just to screw with him I catch up really quickly and passed him. After I was like maybe about a car length ahead I slowed down to the speed limit for a corner on the road (two line road). Well I guess this guy thought this is where he can take me. I really was not racing anyway and he loses control of his car and spins right in front of me. I carefully slowed down and waited until he go the car straight. We stopped at the next light and I asked what happened. He said his tires were bold. First thing I check when he got going straight and they were fine. Anyway I usually don’t race on public roads and this time I really did not go much over the speed limit maybe 15mph. This has really helped me learn a very valuable lesson. It’s not worth it!!! If I wanted to I would have really pulled on this guy but, if I had there was a good chance this guy would have totally hit my Brand New Evo. A car I just put a lot of money out for and all the other associated costs to keep such a car. Not only that But endangered the lives of my self and passenger not to mention everyone else on the road.

Nothing really happened but it could have. Guys and Gals don’t do it save it for the track.

Really learned my Lesson this time.

My Best
Eric

Makes you appreciate all wheel drive! Damn, I'm sorry, had to say it though, and I am glad that he didn't smack you. I wonder how long he had to have owned the car pulling a dumb move like that. Maybe he has pulled some other dumb moves leading to a forced sale!
