Will they fail me because my exhaust is loud??? i currrently have full bolt ons minus the o2 housing. I also have an ams turboback with a high flow cat. My car has no cel lights and runs perfect but i dont wanna get a rejection sticker for the sound decibel issue. any help would be greatly aprecciated

 

In maine the new law is kinda weird. Its up to the inspector to judge whether its loud or not, but in the end if the police think its too loud. You'll get a ticket. I know maine isnt mass but thought id give some input. Also when i lived in NJ and went though there rigorous inspection, I passed with full 3" BR TBE and a high flow cat.

 

i had a silencer put in. try that. not sure if ams has one though

 

Take it to a private garage first and ask them if they think it will pass just by listening to it. If not, try looking for someone with a stock exhaust you can borrow for a few hours.

 

Hey Fox, sorry It took a while to get back to you, was on a vaca. My cousin is on vaca right now for about a month...I'll hit you back when he returns. Your car may even just pass at a garage even with the loud exhaust, as long as you have no CEL

 

Fox, I know a place who will do it for extra 20bucks, but Im not sure if you wanna drive so far just to get an inspection sticker all the way from springfield tho. oh well, if you desperately need it, let me know.
