Hello Everyone:

Who would you consider (from the forum) to be the best meet/show organizer in your region?

I have an idea for a show/meet that I want to put together next year. Its different then anything I've done myself.

I need organizers for the following regions
Northeast:
Northwest
Midwest:
Mid-Atlantic:
Southeast:
South Region:

(I will be posting on the other regions as I go)

It will require
A lot of planning/time from each organizer
A reliable vehicle
Putting a couple hundred miles (maybe more) on that vehicle
Experience putting together car shows/meets
Each organizer to be well known in their community (at least on the forum)

If you know someone like that in your area, please nominate them by posting their name/region below or send me a PM.

If you're just curious what this is, please don't ask or nominate yourself because you want to know. Once I have this concept nailed down then I will post on the forum or the organizer from your area will do so.

I've tried to get stuff together and after all the people that signed up said they were coming, about 60% bailed last minute, so good luck trying to get something together with people who actually will make it out. I found it doesnt matter how thorough you are and how much time ahead you give notice it's not worth the effort, at least around these parts

Paul we all apologized that we couldn't make it but between the rain, as light as it was, it being 5am on a sunday and the 100 mile drive just to get to the meet i think a lot of people questioned the value. I would really like to do a cruise sometime but maine is a hike for me especially that early on a sunday and when it was my first couple weekends in a new house. I am sure come spring we could work something out.

I really wouldn't take it personally, had someone else done the meet i am sure it would have ended the same way given the circumstances. Really dont take it as a personal attack i just dont think the cards feel the way we had all hoped.

Yea, I know, not taking it as any thing personal, just stating the facts to the O.P. I hope some can organize something in the spring time again and we can get people to come out.

This will be bigger then the dinner meet I put together last week. Right now I am getting people together that have experience organizing meets/events so we can brainstorm a bit more.
