thats the setup i originally ran on my old car. i did like the extreme plate but it wasn't nearly as streetable.

yeah i knew they were having problems but spec was skeptical it was a clutch issue. I can surely say had i left it in there it would have failed.

Yeah i drove eric's setup and black sti steve's. He had an organic disc. I think the 6 puck should hold whatever i throw at it and the HD pressure plate i remember being great for daily driving. Hopefully it all works out. Next step, working a refund from spec.

Steve (beavis) how did you break in your clutch. I am reading: "ACT race discs usually only require a few hard slips to lap in the surfaces prior to normal driving or racing. Do not overheat the clutch during the break in period." I just slip it a few times then beat the crap out of it?

i just slipped it a few times driving in 2nd or 3rd gear, cruise then clutch in, rev, and release giving some cool down between each one. then a few hard launches and it was good to go.

Well, at least clutch installs are the easiest thing to do on an Evo

Feel free to misplace my phone number when you begin that endeavor,haha. Gotta come see the garage, quite spacious now. Even with 4 Craftsman roll-away toolboxes and a double wide Snap-On box in a sinlge car garage

I moved enough DSM parts from the garage to the basement to probably build 3 cars,Brian is a pack-rat for sure. Carrying a 1G AWD transmissions down a flight of stairs.....not so fun.

Wow that sucks...I would offer you my highly skilled hands however im in Delaware. My spring break is the 27th - 4th so if your still working on it then I could give you some company.

Sucks is putting it lightly. I appreciate the offer. At least i am getting evo clutch practice when i supervise anyone else who wants to attempt this.
