I was thinking about getting my 2010 Black Ralliart windows tinted...I know in NJ it's illegal to have the fronts tinted at all, but I was thinking maybe 35% all around....anyone have any advice on what to do??

 

I've had 35% tint on the fronts and was ticketed for 3 days straight. Had to pull it off, just wasn't worth my time or money. I've seen ppl with very dark tint on the front windows and I just don't know how they get away with it.

 

did you remove them yourself?? or how much should it cost to remove?

 

I removed it myself. I actually pulled it off in front of the officer so I wouldn't get a 3rd ticket. Had to clean the adhesive off, but u shouldn't ever have to pay someone to remove it. Some tint shops offer a free removal so maybe ask first.

I've gotten 9 tinted window tickets in the 2 1/2 years I've had the car, 2 of them came with mandatory court dates too haha. I've got 20% on front and back.

 

thats crazy!! i have 15% all around in philly and i've never been stopped

 

thats because your a cop, and I thought people didnt really get pulled over for tint in philly

 

i run 20% all around and 35% on my windsheild, no tickets 1year so far

yeah isnt tint legal is Pa lol, i should register my car there, cheaper insurance and legal tint

 

In PA its legal to have up to 30% tint on the front windows and aything on the rears.
Jersey sucks haha...no tint, gotta have a front plate, etc.

 

I was gonna do %15 on the rears, its the same % that comes on most stock SUV's. I want to tint the fronts, but the less hassle from the police the better. Theres a place near me called dynamic tint that does a good job and guatentees there stuff for life.

i have 5% all around... i get stopped every now and then but i usually ride with the fronts down unless its raining... goin for 35% on the winshield next!
