it depends how much boost you run. Im not sure when the evo 8 turbo will run out of steam on a 2.4L engine but you can talk to you tuner about that.

Dont be cheap and get a half assed tune because they are close. Send it interstate.
Buschur, AMS etc someone who has the experience tuning evo's.
Better than building another engine because of a dodgy tune.
Who knows maybe im just throwing away money when the time comes but i would rather the best.

This is what PRUVEN performance did to my brand new evo 9 it had 2500miles back then. It ended up at AMS to get rebuild, long list 4 crack pistons, 8 bent valves, hacked up my harness which I had to replace including the engine AMS had there hand's full after the PRUVEN destruction the same shady guy's still work there so be very careful there are other places you can go where they respect your car and you as a customer and Pruven performance is not one of them

He's working back at Pruven performance, so just watch out they will lure you in there saying you need this you need that you get the point.

Man you still draggin' that crap up everytime you get a chance............

Al's a good tuner, he's also fixed sharkbite's car for him when he got it back from AMS and had problems with a lot of stuff.

You asked about a tune, not about getting a car built. If you want a good tuner in CT, go see Al at Pruven.

Sorry Dave, but the truth is the truth about pruven performance can't really do anything about that.

Evos are lucky to have open sources tuning software. And we have great how-to tune threads, plus Gurus, Moderators, and members that are ready and willing to help.

shark, truth is fine, but the thread is about a TUNER, not a shop or Pruven, that's all I was getting at.

The open source stuff is great, suggesting someone with no tuning knowledge buy it and tune his car himself isn't good advise 90% of the time.
