I dont get it. The same exact thing just happened to one of my friends down here. The guy that did it to him had to give the other car back and was arrested for selling stolen property along with numerous other charges.

So if its a civil matter--take him to court.. Call around and find a lawyer you can get to work for you on a percentage of whats recovered and take him to court and sue him for say 60k. Hall the dealership that identified and turned a blind on on the vin as a witness and everyone else, end up paying out 30% to lawyer...At least you get something back. God get creative and make a deal---the longer you wait the less of a chance of being able to do anything. There are plenty of crooked lawyers willing to work for a perectnage of recovered money.

Yea for real. You should MINIMALLY be able to get the Sti back. Go after him full force before he sells it.
Contact someone local from a law school and see if the students there want to work on it. Sounds like a fun case for an aspiring lawyer.

I don't understand this. If you bought a vehicle that turned out to be stolen and you know all the sellers Info. He should be arrested and the sale voided. You should get the sti back. Also the dealer should have called the police on the spot for fraudulent activity. The bank should be on this 100% as they have been scammed.
