JUST UPDATED TO THE DAY *** ROLL ON RACING ***

Never a dull moment! We have come across another issue. Pocono Raceway walls will NOT be in place for the inside road course due to repaving. Since I have a great relationship with the track they are allowing us to do ROLL ON racing. This has become a HUGE sport amongst car enthusiasts.

Similar to the Airport Runway events, the front straight of the track is 3740 ft.

You will be able to start at turn 3, 25-50mph roll and then accelerate for 1/2 mile against your friend, enemy, or stranger. It will be a war of the track, expect a variety of American Muscle, JDM, and European monsters to show up and do battle!
Hotel Information - 5/18/2012

I have arranged a discount rate at the Mount Airy Casino/Resort. Call (570) 243-5125 use the code: EXOTICS RALLY for a discounted rate."

We are all Evo enthusiasts on this forum. So I ask all of you,,,, "What kind of evo has to be built to compete with the typical Lambos, Porches, and GTR's participating in this style of racing"???

We think we have the answer,,,, and more importantly the kind of driver that can flourish in this style of racing.

,,,,,,,,,,, It's going to take some time to upload all the details,,, please bear with me!!

You guys may have remembered this thread,,,

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...815hp-e85.html

Since then, "pizzaman" decided to rip the entire car apart for a makeover. The motor was sold and the car was off to the spray booth for the Lexus ISF pearl white...

Details here,,,

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-makeover.html

Pizzaman contacted me when the decision was made to go with his new GTR platform. He wanted his baby to go to a "good home".

I had just the right guy for him!! "Crazy Joe" was the man for the task. (Why crazy Joe?? --- more on that in a bit)

We decided to head out to CBRD right away and pick up the shell.

Needless to say, "Crazy joe" was happy as a pig in $hit to see the quality of the paintwork looked even better in person!

Now you guys may already know that I've decided to open my own new facility. This happened to be the FIRST car in the building!

During the construction process of the facility the car was tucked away. Waiting for its time to be unleashed. We talked in detail about the build and some of the goals for the car. Crazy Joe likes top end runs and loves the rush of 140+mph. Bit by bit we worked on the car adding Crazy Joe's personal touches. The exterior was already perfect, but new "shoes" were in order to complete the look.

Roll racing requires brute strength. Having a 4 cyl engine in this type of motorsport is a disadvantage to say the least. The old saying "no replacement for displacement" definately holds true.

We decided that big cubes and strong internals were needed.

--Up on deck... 2.4

--We built the engine in-house using Manley "Turbo Tuff" i-beams and weisco HD pistons. Although there are more "exotic" choices out there, these off the shelf items are available to the general public. They're parts that people can relate to. 2.4 motors are readily available as well. For those on a budget, this combo is easily obtainable.

--For the head, easily one of the most reputable evo owners/driver, Curt Brown was the man for the job,,,,
http://www.curtbrownracing.com/cylinder_heads_2.html

http://cbevo.com/head_porting_27.html

--GSC s3 cams to orchestrate the valvetrain.

http://www.power-division.com/produc...cat=285&page=1

-- ETS twin scroll turbo kit to motivate the airflow,,, We're breaking in the engine on a jb 6765,, soon to be BB6766

-- Ams intake for the assist,,,

--- Buschur Intercooler to cool it all down,,,

-- Spoolin-up COP for a simple plug-n-play ignition solution

All in all, this engine combination should produce the broad power/tq curve needed to attempt the epic battle against the big cubed competitors.

Since we feel we addressed our displacement issue,, we wanted to also deal with another MAJOR handicap. Gearing.
The Shep final drive should give us the mph per gear needed for this half mile blast.

Nice!! We feel 700-800hp is a safe range to be in competition with the "big boys" at the event. Should be fun!

I can't believe no one else is jumping in on this event! All these people claiming fast , high horsepower cars! Here's the chance to race real cars! Not junkyard turbokit cars! Quarter mile times are nice, but this is heads up legal racing! Big props to Erk and Joe for signing up. You guys will be able to show the performance of the car by taking on real competition! Hopefully the twin turbo gallardo will make it!
