For those who live in NYC, Westchester, Putnam, or Rockland (or Bergen County, for that matter) and you either you don't like your dealer's service department or the closest dealer is many, many miles away, I wanted to share with you a solution.

I contacted Nick who goes by 4RETECH (many of you may know him as the guy with 270,000+ miles on his Evo) to do my 30,000 mile service, as I didn't want to pay what the dealer was charging (nor did I trust the dealer - who asked if the oil temp sensor in the oil pan plug of my MR was an aftermarket part). Nick met me at one of his friend's shops in Harriman and took care of the service. He was meticulous, thorough, and knowledgeable (carrying over his skills from his full time job as a Ferrari Master Tech). He is a pleasure to deal with, and took pride in his work, which is a lot more than I can say from the experiences I had with dealers. I will be using Nick for all of my service needs, including possible future mods (as I am still stock other than a catback exhaust).

For those of you who live in the areas above, you know there is no independent shop in the area that really knows Evos, Nick is the perfect solution.
