I bought it from extreme dimensions 2 1/2 years ago. If i remember correctly it is from carbon creations

Wonder how safe it would be to take my hood off and drive without one from WV to MA, then drive home with this one?

It would be fine, But you might get bugged by a cop if you see one driving up.
