i dont think the evo insurance will skyrocket.. the insurance company already knows this car is a pocket rocket and high car 'casualty' rate is expected in a car geared towards young crowd and got so much power.

Beg to differ. When I shopped for insurance, EVO VIII was not even on the list and quote was lower then that for WRX. Insurance runs a year in arrears while actuarial tables are compiled. I hear of way too many accidents/write-offs involving EVO's especially for a limited production vehicle. Expect a gigantic hike when all the stats are in...

Courtesy of flybyevo, I've got the News Day article hosted on my machine, for those requesting the picture. It's not too good a shot, but you get the idea.

i feel bad that this has to happen

but on a side note, there are a lot of stupid kids around here in ny, i am not saying anything about these kids, but i am saying that i have seen a lot of modified cars that young guys think its cool to drive around like race cars 24/7, when their doing stuff like that in high traffic areas i cant tell how many times ive seen nice cars like this totaled, i just wish people would get smarter and not just use a car as an image or a toy, its a machine that you need to respect
