NYC Shops

Not getting too many hits for this, which is susprising.

Where do you guys go to for tunups and the like? I got my VIII four years and 30k miles ago. Only put oil and transmission fluid in it. I'd like to have someone check out my vibrating clutch pedal and do a "tune up", whatever that means. Basically check over the engine, see if anything needs attention.

I know there are dedicated Evoshops, but they're out in LI (not open on weekends) or Elizabeth, NJ (pain in the *** to get to if I were to leave the car).

All City Auto in Queens; I don't go there, but I bought my car from there and they do repair work plus have their own line of Evos. Pretty sure the mechanics have a better rep than the dealership; while browsing the lot, several guys with Evos came by to get some work done.

Vinny ten racing is open on Saturdays from 9-2pm, I have no experience with them but it looks like a good shop and been working on evo's and other cars for a while.
I would go to an evo shop if I were going to have my car tuned up and check the clutch.

@Shinzon: Only evo motorsports I see is in AZ. Any more details?

@VR4Babe13: Any more details about Erkel? Not finding it on Google.

I'll add the others to my list of options. Thanks guys.

Evolution motorsport

They are the closest in queens . rest are in LI. But here are some list

Evolution motorsports NYC, e-spec industries , dgm motorsports, tach motorsports, Vinny ten racing (I rent their dyno time to time ), enzoperformance , jmfabricarions (highly recommended).

Depends on ur location . evolution will be the closest and they r good and price is right. Jmfabrication is my most trusted. Dredd the shop owner is a very nice guy and really cares about his customers, and price is awesome.

Never did anything with espec or enzo but everyone on this forum is saying good things. For more details pm me with questions.
