profit?

green line was last run and I tweaked my boost tables a bit to try and give myself a little more midrange. I played with 28-29 psi peak and could get ~410tq but decided I would just keep it closer to 26-27 psi for now. Peak hp was unchanged, I still taper to 22.99 but thats about half a pound better than before crushing the bpv. (Crushed it yesterday). One thing about the crushing was that I ended up having to retune my entire boost curve after the crush. I was over boosting by 2 - 3 psi after crushing so it had been leaking for sure.

Track tomorrow!!!, I hope it doesn't rain much, if it rains out I can shoot for the weekend maybe.

Edit: Also weighed my car today at AS&G, 3460lbs with me in it and half a tank of gas. I went there right after these runs.

nice call, I gained 1 horse and 6 ft/lbs....... my torque plateau gives me a semi,...... my hp plateau from 6k to 7k gives me a full on worthy of a picture. lol (I've been drinking),....meth makes tuning afrs a pain.

as for the black streetfire................like you my power goals are not that high.....if anything a HKS GTII or something along those lines..... just a bit more than stock. FP Black spools slower than I could stand.

Yea I agree the spool is soooo slooow, but I got a good deal, so I kinda want a red or even a green can get you in low 11s, I'm not trying to clear 130mph traps or nuttin, I'll get picks when I get back from vacation. You still running stock turbo?

Track tomorrow? I can't speak to the HKS, but I hear the CBRD BBK spools pretty quick....

stock turbo all the way..... starting to look like a triple rainbow (really drunk now) I was looking at either the GTII or maybe the new BW eft's as the upgrade. Black can get you in the high 9s which is way more than I want.

Yeah, test and tune.... right? according to the schedule at least..... hks is a ball bearing turbo just a little larger than stock so it SHOULD outspool the bbk......not many people running it so its hard to tell.

Yes the HKS outspools the BBK by a few hundred rpms, but but BBK flows more I believe, both are great stock appearing turbos. Ball bearing BBK is coming out as well....

I would hang loose until the BBK Full BB comes out. The HKS seems to flow a little less on the top end.

Either would be a great turbo in the end.

I'm also waiting to see more results on the borg warner eft turbos, lots of interesting features and I have always liked the performance of their turbos.

Spool is overated unless you're a 1-2nd gear cone dodger...you won't notice it in the 1/4 mile

Yes sir, didn't quite get the time I was hoping for but my 60ft times were horrid. I couldn't get a good hole shot to save my life. That's what I get for using all-season tires. I managed to cut a 1.76 60ft last year but this time I couldn't get below a 1.9. Maybe it was track prep or maybe the extra power was the problem.

Anyway,.... here it is.....Mod recap..... BR o2 housing, and downpipe, RRE 3" exhaust, test pipe, ETS Intake w/ AMSoil filter, Grimspeed EBCS, MAPerformance LICP and HFS-6 meth kit. Stock IX turbo (no porting etc), stock ix cams.

My car is 1351, this is a timeslip from last year (couldn't find the 12.72) and the one from today. My clutch died in 4th a few runs after this one, (white smoke pouring from hood vent) so I decided to go home while I still could under my own power.

Also I am still on the 6spd, tried shifting into 5th but was getting lockout problems, my fastest run was winding out 4th to about 8200rpm. I think on one run where I didn't get locked out and shifted to 5th my trap speed was 115mph, but my 60ft was 2.0+ so the time was worse.
